To most of us it seems like the Mormons have been around forever. They actually date back to the 1820s. In 1823 a young lad by the name of Joseph Smith sought Gods wisdom as to what church he should belong to. Some speculate that he went into the woods to do this while others claim that he did it from his bedroom. He states that the Angel Maroni summoned him and called him by name and stipulated to him that he had great works for God to do. He was directed to finding some golden plates where the instructions and historical episodes that had taken place centuries ago. Joseph claimed that the everlasting gospel was contained on these plates.

Joseph apparently was able to locate these plates through a vision. The plates were buried in a hill called Mora. The instructions also included that he was not to remove the plates nor was he to show them to anyone. The story goes that the next day Joseph was so exhausted from these visions that his father had to send him back home from work. During that time he collapsed. and apparently the Angel Maroni appeared to him again and repeated the message. Joseph told his father about these happenings.

Ironically Joseph’s father believed him and sent him to where he was to find the plates. Apparently Joseph found them as per instructions and buried them again for a period of four years. The Angel Maroni returned and instructed Joseph and every year he made a pilgrimage to this site. Then in 1827 Joseph came up with the plates but was forced to hide them because of those that wanted to sell them.

Apparently during this translation time other people did witness these plates as there are testimonies in the book of Mormon concerning this. After Joseph finished translating the gold plates then the book of Mormon came into being.

It is ironic that with Josephs three years of formal education that the book was very complex and articulate. Joseph claimed that it was the power of God that gave him the ability to be able to do this. According to the story Joseph would just concentrate and have a great deal of faith. Due to the difficulty of the translation it was said that Joseph would sit with the plates and verbally give the translation. His wife gives quite an account of this tim and states that Joseph was working on this book and how he would be able to return to where he left off with no problem. One would think that this would take many years to do but apparently the translation only talk a matter of three months and there were several scribes that would write as Joseph dictated.

One of these scribes was Oliver Cowdery that upheld the validity of the book with great fevor, to the point where he stipulated that by only obeying the book of Mormons would one get into the kingdom of heaven.

Understanding the Mormon church can be quite a difficult task because what seems to be on the surface is really not what it is when one starts to study it further. Many individuals will say that they are not aware of the Mormon church but if you have any knowledge of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints then yes you do know of the Mormons.

This was an organization that was actually formed in 1830. The biggest stance of this particular church is that they believe that they are the only restored Church of Christ and this was all to have taken place through a revelation of Joseph Smith there past leader. What the Mormons believe is that prior to the formation of this church that the entire world was caught up in massive religious confusion called the great apostasy. This was a time where people were living in darkness and it wasn’t till the Mormon church came along where their church put things back on track again.

One of the frustrations that the Mormon Church runs into is that they believe that too often there is misinformation about them and this is leading people to many misconceptions. This is the reason that most individuals that are not of the Mormon belief don’t understand what position they take in Christianity or their doctrine. In many ways the Mormon church uses the same vocabulary as what the Christian church believes as well. The biggest out of many discrepancies according to the Christian belief is that they believe that Joseph Smith was a God himself.

One of the things that the Mormon Church believe or promote is that there are many other religions that share the same doctrines as theirs and therefore are entitled to the same salvation. They will often in their approach to preaching their beliefs will encourage individuals to embrace the true Church of Jesus Christ. This not necessarily referring to the Church person with whom they are talking to but to the Latter-day Saints Church because they believe that this is the one that Jesus restored through Joseph Smith. They firmly believe that this is the concept that Jesus taught when he was here on earth and therefore has to be the true church.

It’s interesting to note that after the supposed prophecy of Joseph Smith he wrote 13 articles on faith. What these articles pertain to are now what the basic Mormon beliefs center on. Basically the beliefs are broke down into several categories such as the Church of Jesus Christ, gospel and principles, family purpose ,and the life and nature of God. The Mormons believe that after the last apostle died that there was no authority left to lead the Church and that all of the doctrines that Jesus had taught were changed over the years and eventually this led into living in darkness.

Naturally everybody is entitled to their own opinions and their own beliefs. The same is applicable to the Mormons. If they so choose to follow the doctrine of Joseph Smith then they have that right. Christianity in its authority takes offense that the Church of Latter-Day Saints is standing on the basics of Christianity and yet have taken all those basics and misconstrued them into what they feel is the true gospel.

This is a question that is asked by many when it comes to attempting to understand the Mormon religion. The Mormons would most likely answer this question stating it would depend on what individuals expect Christianity to be. The Mormons will tell you that they do certainly include the Bible as part of their study among the other four books which they follow as well. To really understand the Mormon religion you have to understand their basic doctrine.

According to their doctrine there is certainly more than one God and they actually believe there are many gods and they also believe that they can becomes gods and goddesses themselves once they pass on depending on their actions while here on earth.

When it comes to God being a man at some point in time the Mormons will tell you that God was actually a man and as time progressed he became a God and that he also has a body of flesh and bone.

They will go on to teach that Jesus and Satan were spirit brothers and that Jesus was actually the elder of the two and they were from God who is flesh and blood.

When it comes to the Trinity and the Mormons they do teach the deity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost but they consider them as three separate gods

They have the unusual believe that sin is a great blessing to all of us as sin was instituted by Adam.

As far as the atonement from the death of Christ the Mormons believe that the atonement is for everyone whether they accept Christ by faith or not. But added to this to be saved one also has to follow the exclusive Mormon rituals.

In respect to the Bible they just consider it to have been corrupted over the years therefore is missing important facts and information.

With the exception of those special Mormons who have discovered the restored gospel as they put it the belief is that the world is still in a total state of apostasy.

When one looks over all of the key factors of what the Christian religion is based on its easy to see that the Mormon religion does not follow the same beliefs. Unfortunately as far as the Christian stance many of the Scriptures and those that the Mormons do relate to and they will teach goes contrary to what the Bible is teaching according to the Christians. Most likely one of the most significant factors out of many that contradict the Christian religion is the fact that they believe that they will become gods themselves when the Bible teaches that there is but one God.

Many in the Christian belief are concerned about what the Mormons are teaching because of the Bible specifically warning of false prophets who will teach another gospel. It must be remembered that the Mormon believe is more based on their spiritual leader as opposed to what the Bible itself speaks of.

For individuals that are not too well versed in either the Mormon religion or Christianity as society knows it they will often wonder what are the differences between these two religions. According to the Mormons they will consider themselves as the true Christians and the only church that is going to be recognized by God himself. First of all it must be remembered that the whole Mormon religion is based on Joseph Smiths vision that he purported to have in 1820 where to celestial beings appeared to him during this vision. It was declared to Joseph that that there was no true religion on earth and that he was going to be chosen to institute the new church religion.

One of the things that must be realized is that Christians believe that God is the spirit whereas Joseph taught that God himself was once a man and through his good way of living became a God. Joseph also uses the term God as plural and further believes that that man can and will become gods if they are to live their life the way that the Church of latter-day Saints promote. The Christians believe that Jesus is Lord of all and creator of all the Mormons will tell you that this was the spirit brother of Lucifer

There is no way that you would ever get any Mormon to tell you that the Bible was the only book to be depended on. The Mormons have several books written by man and the most distinctive one is a book of Mormon which was written on the teachings of Joseph Smith. So as far as they are concerned this book is the only one that should be depended on. Most Mormons although they will refer to the holy Bible for some resources but this is most often for convenience and as a way to prove that they are true Christians. There are several other books that they will depend on as well and this is “The Doctrine and Covenants” and the “Pearl of great Price”.

In the book “Doctrines and Covenants” it will have the revelations of polygamy. It’s interesting to note though that this revelation of polygamy did not come about until after the government was threatening to take action against the Mormon church for their stance on this subject.

The book “Pearl of great Price” suggested to the revelation that was used to make sure that the black society did not enter into the priesthood of the Mormons which means according to the Mormons that they could never become gods.

To add to all of these interesting takes of the Mormons one has to take a close look at their viewpoint . This becomes interesting in that they believe that there are several level to heaven, if fact there are basically three .Depending on your life here on earth will dictate which department or level of heaven that you will be able to go to. Their vision of how they are going to appear before God is wearing fig leaf aprons and holding all the good works that they have done while here on earth in their hands. It would seem that no matter what sins were committed here on earth everyone will have some type of good standing in heaven although it might take some longer than others to get there.

If someone were to tell that in order to be a true believer in Christ that he only came to America, or you had to wear unique underwear would you perhaps not think that was a little unusual? Combine this with the omission of consuming acohol, tea or coffee and the fact there is one remaining prophet on earth then you may be learning about the Church of Latter Day Saints, or aka “Mormons”. If you are thinking that not too many people would pick up on these beliefs then you will be surprised to hear that this particular Church is the 4th largest in America.

What argument do Mormons make? Mormons create brave statements about their attitude. For instance, they stipulate that the Church of Latter Day Saints is a ?restored? edition of the unique Church recognized by Jesus Christ 2000 years before. They purport that they themselves know the beginning of existence, why we even exist and what the purpose of our death will be. The basis of their believe stems on that every being can gain individual knowledge in order to become familiar with what to do by means of their existence. They state that weddings and families can last for all time without end.

There are some various fascinating claims. In some cases though they are actually a spin off of what Christianity as we know it claims. Although many of the claims made by the Mormons are classified as weird or crazy, their argument is that so is many of the claims made by the Christians when made to the non believers.

The Mormons retort to the unbelief of those that approach them with accusations of being weird or crazy is that it is all based on their lack of knowledge of their faith. They will point out that the Mormons believe that the Son of God came to earth, died for everyone’s sins, and came back to life. They go on to stipulate that this sounds crazy to the non believer yet many Churches outside of their own teach these concepts.

While this is true that there is every indication that the Mormons do stand on this belief its what they have added to the Christian doctrine that causes the upheaval in what to believe. For example they believe that they themselves can become Gods by doing the right thing. They further believe that God himself was once bone, flesh and blood. It is all these add ons that really hurt the credibility of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Ironically enough many people to this day do not realize that this church is based on the Mormon beliefs. They are considered as two distinct entities. Another interesting factor about the Mormons is that their rituals are very much conducted in the same form as that of the free masons, yet neither of these entities claim any tie to the other.

The important lesson to learn here is that when considering any religion whether it be Mormonism or Christianity that one look at the religion in its entirety and not just its basics.

If you are born psychic, giving accurate psychic readings, such as an aura reading, is nothing new to you. But if you are a regular person, with normal human abilities, but are interested in the paranormal affairs, reading auras may just be the thing for you.

By definition, an aura is a multi-colored layer of energy field that envelops every living thing in this world. When psychics give you accurate psychic readings on auras, you will be given clues as to what they say about you, your deepest secrets, the patterns of your life, your current mood and disposition, etc., depending on the color and behavior or your aura. This is one of the reasons why people go to psychics — to find deeper answers and meanings about their lives.

For people who desire to know more about giving accurate psychic readings, particularly aura readings, you may follow these five easy steps:

5 Actions You Can Do

1. Try to look for a well-lit room inside your home somewhere that does not have harsh lighting.

2. Bring with you a piece of white paper and place your hand on it.

3. Once you place your hand on the white paper, focus on the outline of your hand. What do you see around your fingers?

4. Try to quiet your mind and your heart. When you feel most relaxed, you will see a gleam of faint light emanating from your hand.

5. Focus and concentrate well. Soon, you will see that there is not only one color for the glow that you see around your fingers, but there are many!

As you get better at seeing auras, you are also moving a step forward towards knowing how to give accurate psychic readings. After so much practice, a time will come when you will be able to see not just one but many colors of aura. These colors signify something much deeper about the subject or the person. Do your best to learn their meanings. You will then become more sensitive to the disposition of the person whose aura you are reading and eventually, you too, will know how to give accurate psychic readings.

7 Common Colors of Aura Defined

1.Red – means will power, great passion and strength. If it’s the darker kind of red, it corresponds to the subject’s moodiness. He or she could be exhibiting anxiety and panic attacks and is impulsive in his or her decisions. Note that any shade or red usually denotes having nervous tendencies that are quite strong.

2.Orange – is a color of comfort and warmth. The person having this color of aura is considered to be a warm-hearted person. Orange also means being energetic, creative and vibrant. If it’s the darker kind, it means that pride and vanity are on the surface of the subject’s personality. If it’s the golden kind, it means that the person has self-control. In terms of health, orange means that there might be a kidney-related problem that the subject needs to attend to.

3. Yellow – means having positive vibrations, a bustling mental activity, thirst for new knowledge and desire for new opportunities. The golden kind denotes having the ability to take care of one’s self. If it’s the darker kind, it signifies apprehension and a reserved personality.

4. Green – signifies being in a relaxed, peaceful and quiet state. It also denotes sympathy, healing and understanding. If it’s the darker hue, jealousy and uncertainty are arising.

5. Blue – signifies the state of sadness, turmoil, and depression although more often than not, it pertains to a kind of peace and calm. Watch out for the deeper hues because they are the best. They mean that the person has already found what his purpose in life is through his vocation.

6. Indigo and Violet – tell us that the person is still not content with his/her life, that he/she is still seeking for a greater meaning and purpose. These colors also represent practicality and worldliness. If it’s the darker hue, it means that the person is oftentimes misunderstood and has a lot of challenges to face and overcome.

7. Black – is a color that denotes protection. But it could also mean that the person having this as his aura’s color could be hiding something deep and dark.

As long as you know and understand the meaning of these common colors in auras, you are on your way to eventually giving accurate psychic readings to people who mean a lot to you. Know them by heart and next time, be prepared to give your first accurate psychic reading.

While you've probably seen many ads for free psychics, how many of them are authentic?

While you’ve probably seen many ads for free psychics, how many of them are authentic? After reading the disclaimer on the ads, you may find that the psychic services are intended only for entertainment. One must understand that a real psychic is far different than one used for entertainment.

Could you be psychic? Some things that we are born with tend to get pushed to the back of our minds as we grow older. Have you witnessed a small child talking to someone that wasn’t there? Many people brush this off as an imaginary friend, but are these friends imaginary or just not visible? Certainly there are some children that create imaginary friends to talk to, but they are different than people they talk to that no one can see.

Psychic powers are not nearly as far fetched as you may think. Free psychics are more likely to be believed. This is due to the fact they are not charging money for their readings. Those who charge are believed to be fakes and most people do not believe them. They figure this is a way of making money by playing on the feelings of others. However, when free psychics tell you something about your future, you are more believing.

Psychics are nothing new. They have been around for many years and were trusted far more than the psychics of today. Since many people don’t understand psychic powers, they fear those that have the power. Anything that’s unknown feels as if its mysterious and the people that can view an unknown realm will likely be feared.

Whether you have psychic powers or not largely depends on if the powers that people naturally have are developed or restrained. There are people everywhere that have had visions or know certain things that never try to develop the power.

The free psychic does not feel compelled to charge money to tell people about the things they see. If they are seeing relatives who have moved on and the relatives want a message delivered to a family member, the psychic is the medium through which this can be accomplished.

Most of us have seen psychics, either in person or on television that knows personal things about the people they are talking to. The only explanation for them knowing things about people they just met is that they’re psychic. If you believe you have these abilities yourself, they can be further developed with meditation and by focusing intently on all that you see, feel, and hear.

There’s a big difference between fortune tellers and psychics. If you want someone to tell you that something fabulous is going to happen to you, go to a fortune tell. The majority of people only want to hear about the good things that will happen. They want to hear that their dreams will be fulfilled and they will be happy.

The concern of a true psychic is not to tell you something merely because they believe that is what you want to hear. They tell what they see or feel because that is the way it was shown to them.

This may be one of the greatest mysteries ever faced by humans. The need to know what is going to happen in the future is so intense for many people; they are willing to grasp at straws. The real truth of our future depends on many factors, including some that we have control of ourselves.

The best way to develop this gift that’s given is to use it to help others. This may be the reason a real psychic is hard to find. They don’t obsess about what they see or advertise their visions. They just help people by telling them about what they’ve seen.

There are multiple ways for finding a free psychic. The effort it takes to find one will be well worth it. Rather than having your fortune told you can receive valuable information about your future. This is likely the main purpose for finding a psychic anyway.

The writer Karen Allen is a writer for the popular http://www.psychic-info.com site. Discover for yourself how easy it is to develop psychic. Find out never before revealed secrets.

It really is not appropriate to knock the beliefs of others. Many understand what standard Christianity is all about but it often becomes varied with other religions. A good example of this is to be Mormon beliefs. When one takes a close look at these however one will find that there are many strange types of beliefs and practices of that the Mormons follow. It is up to the individual to come to their own conclusion as to the validity of the religion itself

To begin what they believe in the Angel Moroni. Now this was believed to be a prophet who actually wrote the book of Mormon for the church. He is believed to be the son of Moron who is the actual prophet himself. Moron in life deals with the latter part of the fourth century heading into the beginning of the fifth.

Baptism in the Mormon religion is also considered a very sacred act for one to be baptized and confirmed by the priests of the Mormons it then allows them to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is believed that the baptism has very specific standings. The baptism is considered to be the sign of the remission of sins. The second purpose is that the person that’s being baptized is repenting and now has a right to a membership of the church and the Kingdom of God on Earth. Third is that it is the gateway to the Celestial section of the Kingdom of Heaven and finally the fourth is where sanctification is opened.

When it comes to Mormonism and chastity the laws are very strict meaning that whatever laws have been written about chastity will remain consistent throughout the religion

According to the theology of the Mormon faith, faith is based on the Gospel of Christ according to the book Scripture and the book of Mormon it says Hope for things which are not seen and this is how they classify faith.

Grace coming through the mercy of Christ meaning in divine help or strength

Great apostasy, this is based on the teaching of the apostles of what would be similar to that of the King James Bible.

The Mormons also believe in the spirit of the Holy Ghost as being the third member of the Godhead.

Where it starts to become interesting is where their leader Joseph Smith has been considered a prophet. He was born in 1805 and he basically purported to being a prophet of God however most of Joseph’s foretelling never came to be.

Many people don’t realize that the Church of the Latter-Day Saints is also part of the Mormon religion. The Mormon doctrine teaches that we are now living in the latter days.

The laying on of hands is what the Mormon church believes invokes the power of God much like that in the modern Christianity.

Modern revelation refers to communication between God and his children here on earth.

The Mormon hymns are based more so on the Mormon church history.

With regards to Mormon music there is mixed feelings on this that it can have good or bad connotations. The new Jerusalem is referred to as Zion and when it comes to ordinances. These are believed to be sacred rites and ceremonies. Blessings are patriarch which are given to deserving persons.

They have placed a heavy emphasis on prayer however their belief is still centered around the prophet Mormon. Repentance is something that they believe in as well and sanctification being free from sin. They believe that Satan also referred to as the devil and was a fallen spirit. Another believe is the seer stones. These are instruments prepared by God to help in the translation of languages and in revelations. As well they believe in spirituality and hold the same premise for the ten Commandments.

Discover the truth behind mormon missionaries. This is an overview of missionaries mormon and what they stand for. The truth will shock you!

Almost everyone who is working is in the mindset that they need to sell their services. Some people will choose to give them away from time to time to prove how valuable their services are. Free clairvoyants can be like that. They want to prove that they will not waste your time or money if you choose to hire them. Of course, as with most other professions, you need to look out for charlatans who are not who they claim to be. If you are lucky enough to find someone who truly is clairvoyant and is willing to do a reading for no fee, then you should attempt to get in on it before they start charging again.

The term clairvoyant comes from the French for clear vision. It was a term coined in the seventeenth century that is still in use today. It refers to someone that can see the truth, or at least a version of it. It may mean an ability to see into the future, or it can mean an ability to see the truth in what is currently happening.

As was said earlier, not everyone has the ability. Some people will claim to have it, or a version of it, that do not actually have any special skill in it. They tell you these things in order to attempt to gain your money or your trust. It is important to learn to separate a con artist from a professional clairvoyant. Unfortunately it is not always as simple, as some people are very convincing when they make their claims, using props and staged settings to fool even very bright people.

There are a few different types of clairvoyance, or at least different things that are often associated with it. One such thing is the power of remote viewing. This is the ability of a person to see what is happening on the other side of town or even the other side of the world without the aid of outside communication. Remote viewing has been experimented with by the military, but the results of those tests claim that it was not useful in battle. Though it is possible that we do not know the whole truth behind what the military did, there has so far been no evidence that the military was using remote viewing in any combat that we know of.

There is also the power of mediumship. In which a person claims to be able to communicate with the dead. There are a few different methods for attempting to contact the dead. The most popular is something called a seance, in which a group of people will get together with a medium in an attempt to contact a specific person who has passed.

Many people believe that there are people alive who can contact lost loved ones. Though science has not been able to confirm any form of afterlife, the belief is very strong in the United States. A large percentage of the general population believe in one form of life after death or another.

If you have ever believed that you had the power to become a clairvoyant, there are many schools available that claim to teach people how to use their power. Unfortunately, there is no real litmus test to prove the validity of each school. Some may prosper while others go away. This may have to do with the owners or it could be the general amount of skepticism in a community. As a result, there is no certificate that can be used to prove that you have, or that someone else has, the power of the clairvoyant.

It is hard to find a test to prove the validity of the results you get from free clairvoyants, so if you do choose to go in for a consultation, you will need to trust your instinct and listen carefully to what they say for anything that seems out of place or incorrect.
